I had a hard time finding a suitable screw driver bit for tightening and removing the Schuster gas plug that would not damage the socket owing to loose fit.
This tool fits the plug perfectly. I would have preferred it to have a bent handle instead of the 3/8" hex head, which required finding a suitable wrench that won't slip off. I found a fixed socket wrench, and by wrapping some Teflon tape around the hex head the tool won't slip out of the wrench.

Bought to install a Schuster gas plug. Works great on the new one, and the old one!

Perfect size, works well with a 3/8 inch closed wrench.

The gas plugs really helped two already National Match grade M1's shoot even better. The gas plug bit is far superior to any GI issue tool for removing the gas plug. It is squarely machined so as to impart no damage to the plug.
